Ant Max's Introduction of ProKraftiNation

Hello Everyone.

I am on VACATION. If you don't follow me on IG, you should do that. I "overshare" on Instagram. It's good times. Also... I started a Facebook group. It's called ProKraftiNation and it's full of ProKraftinators. If you want to be a Prokraftinator (CLICK HERE!) to join us.

Without further ado. Here is my friend ANT MAX telling you about our NEW group. Enjoy

ProKraftiNation  (PKN)
An introduction
By Antonious Maximus

Procraftination-

*The act of avoiding responsibilities by engaging in crafting.

*The community of crafters supporting each other around the world with a positive attitude toward crafting, embracing it as a lifestyle.

  * Member of the crafty community that has transitioned from amateur status to crafting business professional.

These are sarcastic expressions of our enthusiasm for that thing we are passionate about. When you spend all that time acquiring supplies,  learning how to use them and practicing until you produce something your proud of, the natural inclination is to find a place to share it. As you share your project, it can stir the desire to discuss everything that went into it and find ways to expand your horizons.

If you're here, you are definitely one of those citizens of the nation, and a fan of videos of Koren Wiskman. As a fan, it would be nice to have that group where you can share but also interact with her.
Koren is proud to present that group for you on Facebook, and it's called ProKraftiNation (PKN because everything craft needs an acronym - CAS, ATC, NTY? ). It will be a closed group for Prokraftinators only . Negativity will be told to take a walk.  So head on over to Facebook to become a citizen fellow ProKraftinator. Your allegiance is appreciated.

Uncle Mike's Cheerleader Birthday Card Video

Hello everyone.

Today I am sharing with you my latest video for Your Next Stamp. I use the NEW Monster Cheers stamp set and a few other Your Next Stamp supplies. A full list of what I used will be linked below.

It's Tim's best friend in the world's birthday and he is turning 38, so I'm giving this wildly inappropriate card to him. I know he will love and appreciate it. I hope you do too. I have also linked my video, showing the making of this card.

I also have a Polychromos Color Map showing ALL of the colored pencils I used to color my images for this card. I like to pin them for my own reference. I like to refer back to them regarding certain color combinations I like to use.

My Pinterest account is full of color maps, both my own and maps created by other crafters. It is a great resource for both Copic coloring and colored pencils. You should check it out. You can easily find my Pinterest account under my picture on this blog.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today,

MFT & Friends August 2018

Hello everyone.

I am so excited to be taking part in this month's MFT & Friends post. To see the entire post on the MFT blog (CLICK HERE!) I have loved My Favorite Things Products for years and I'm so excited to be showing off their latest release. This morning I am sharing a card project, using some of that release and I also have a video coming up this weekend sharing even more of MFT's August release, so be sure to check back with me this weekend.

I am playing with the NEW Captivating Mandala Background Stamp, the Captivating Mandala Die-namic, and the Simply Hello & I love you Die-namics. As well as the Miss You die-namics. I just love the brush script of that Miss You die-namics word die. It is beautiful, much like the rest of the new release.

I am also playing with some Ranger Alcohol inks and the NEW alcohol lift-ink. This was my first time trying the Alcohol Lift-Ink and I have to say, it makes playing with alcohol inks even more enjoyable, and I didn't even think that could even happen!

I started with a piece of Legion Yupo paper and a collection of alcohol inks in various rainbow colors.  I used Red Pepper, Valencia, Lemonade, Citrus, Denim, and Amethyst. I absolutely love this color combo. It's just fabulous. I added alcohol ink-blending solution to the Yupo paper and added drops of each color. I blew the ink around the paper using a straw until the ink seemed to dry and stop moving. I did this with each of the colors listed above. I made two backgrounds with these colors for my projects today. I also recommend giving your project significant time to dry before trying to lift them with the alcohol lift ink. At least, thats what I learned from my first experience with it.

After my backgrounds where dry. I cut them down to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4 inch pieces. I like to make my card fronts this size. I loaded the Captivating Mandala Background stamp into the my regular sized MISTI and then one of the background pieces that I had just cut down.

I loaded my background stamp with the Alcohol Lift-Ink and then closed the door of the MISTI. I used my Spellbinders Tool In One, with the brayer tool attached, to press the outside door of the MISTI with even pressure. I often do this with background stamps.

I then opened the door of the MISTI and carefully removed the stamped background piece from the MISTI and replaced it with Neenah 110 lb cardstock cut to the same dimensions. I then closed the door of the MISTI with the Captivating Mandala Background Stamp still loaded with ink I just lifted off of the alcohol ink background. I closed the door of the MISTI stamping the image down onto the Neenah 110 lb cardstock and giving the door of the MISTI even pressure with my brayer. As I opened the door of the MISTI it revealed a colorful Mandala background left on the Neenah paper by the lifted ink from the previous piece. It was super cool.

This was not perfect, by any means, but it looks so cool and you can't just do one, fair warning... So, at this point I already have three beautiful backgrounds for cards.

So, for the Miss You card, I cut the Captivating Mandala Die-namics die from Neenah 110 lb cardstock four times. I layered them together using Elmers spray adhesive. I learned this from Laura Bassen. You can find her work here. (CLICK HERE!) It made it super easy to adhere the layers of the mandala together in it's delicate nature. I also sprayed the back of the first layer so that I could easily adhere the mandala to my card front. This got stuck on the piece that I did not lift with any ink. I also cut the Miss You Die-namics die out of Navy Blue cardstock and stuck it together the same way as the Mandala. I placed it nicely in the center of the mandala also using the spray adhesive.

After popping this card front up on some craft foam with double sided adhesive. I used a Fog card base in the A2 size portrait orientation to finish this one off.

I used that same Navy Blue cardstock to cut out the NEW Simply Hello & I Love You Die-namics. I also layered them together with spray adhesive. One was placed onto the alcohol lifted ink background and the other onto the alcohol lifted ink inked background... that is confusing. You can see what I mean in the pictures.

I used one Doodlebug Shaped heart to accent the Love You card. I popped both of those card fronts up onto craft foam and fog card bases too!

I hope you all will continue to enjoy the MFT & Friends blog post and have enjoyed this stop on my blog. Thank you for visiting me today. A list of the MFT products I used on this card are linked below for your convenience.

Heffy Doodle Alcohol Lift Ink Card Video

Hello everyone. Today I am sharing with you my latest video for Heffy Doodle. In this video I am using Heffy Doodle's Big Bold Words and Everyday Sentiment Duos to create some handmade greeting cards.

For these cards I've created Alcohol ink backgrounds. But wait, there's more! I'm going to us the NEW Ranger Alcohol Lift-Ink to have some sentiments lifted... onto... the page, I know that's a little strange, but it was fun.

Below, I will be posting a link to that video as well as some photos of the finished project. I will also have a full list of supplies I used for this project, just in case you are interested in purchasing anything you see me use in the video. The links also help to get exact information, especially if I've been unclear in any parts of the video, which happens often, lol.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and I hope you enjoyed your time here.
