Your Next Stamp DT Dare "Get Inky"

Hello fellow card makers.

Today I am sharing with you a card I made for the newest Design Team Dare by Your Next Stamp. We were asked to "Get Inky" and, as any paper-crafter should know, nobody has to ask us to get inky but since they did, lol, I DID! I broke out some Distress inks and used them to watercolor a background on my project today. To see everything the Your Next Stamp Design Team has created for this event (CLICK HERE!) to visit the Your Next Stamp Blog.

I used the new Hobby Chicks stamp set and coordinating dies, as well as the new Ripped Rectangles die set on my project.

I started with a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock. I used a wet on wet technique to add colors of Distress ink to my project. For a full list of supplies, look below. I stamped the sentiment right in the center (sort of) using Scrapbook.com's white pigment ink. I then heat embossed it with Simon Says Stamp's Detail White embossing powder.  I cut out my front panel using the large rectangle from MFT's blueprints 1 dienamics. I then cut out the sentiment portion of my panel using the middle die from the new ripped rectangles die set. I popped up both the entire front panel and the center portion with black craft foam.

I then stamped my images using Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat embossed it with Stampin' Up!'s clear embossing powder. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers to color my images. I cut them out using their coordinating dies and popped them up with Scotch 3M foam tape.

I finished off my project adding various colors of Nuvo Jewel drops all over the front panel of the card. The card base is made from Simon Says Stamp's Fog cardstock.

Photos of my project, a Distress ink color map, a link to my YouTube video making this card, and a full list of supplies used to create it are below.

Thank you for visiting my blog today,

Koren
