Heffy Doodle Sticky Friends Card Video

Hello fellow card makers.

I have another Heffy Doodle video to share with you all today. This is the one, where I make fun of my husbands bald head.  In this video I use the Sticky Friends giveaway stamp set by Heffy Doodle to create a card good enough to send to any crafty friend.

I started with a piece of Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock. I used my Fiskars Stamp Press to do some repeated stamping. I stamped the glue bottle from the Sticky Friends stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I was trying to create a more chaotic background and avoided stamping a pattern. I then cut down the panel with the second to largest Your Next Stamp Stitched Rectangle Die.

I colored my images with Faber Castell Goldfaber Colored Pencils. I used a blending stump, bare with no blending medium, to blend my colored pencil coloring. You can click the video linked below to see how I did that and how I store my colored pencils.

I stamped my sentiment onto a piece of Neenah 110 lb cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.  I cut it out using a basic shape preloaded onto my Brother Scan N Cut. To me, it looks like a tear drop or speech bubble. It caught my eye, so that is what I used. The sub sentiment was stamped onto Lawn Fawn Black Licorice cardstock and white heat embossed with Hero Arts Ultra Fine White embossing powder. I used the Heffy Doodle Strips of Ease dies to cut it out.

I popped up the front panel with black craft foam and some double sided adhesive. I used Scotch 3M foam tape to pop up my sentiments. I added a few Satin Rainbow sequins from Studio Katia and I highlighted the labels on my glue bottles with Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Clear pen. The card base is Neenah 110 lb cardstock.
