Your Next Stamp Challenge 89

Hello fellow card makers and crafters.

Today starts Your Next Stamp Challenge 89. Your Next Stamp hosts a sketch/color combination challenge biweekly on the Your Next Stamp Blog. I would love for you to come and play along with us, to visit (CLICK HERE!). You can use the sketch or the color combo or both as the inspiration for your project. For my card, I used the Stitching Holes die to emulate the design for the sketch. I did not use the color combo, I went with rainbow instead. Here is a look at the sketch and color combo for this week's challenge.

I started with a piece of Neenah 110lb. Solar White cardstock. I used the Stitching Holes die to cut across my card panel with three rows in two clusters. I then cut down the entire panel using the Stitched Rectangle Die (second from largest).

I used DMC 6 strand embroidery floss to do a straight stitch across my card panel. I have created a DMC Floss color map below with the numbers of each color just in case you are interested. I tied knots at the end of each strand and trimmed the loose ends with my tiny embroiders scissors. I also applied white craft foam to the back side of this panel with double sided adhesive which ensures that my stitching will not be coming undone.

Before placing my stitched panel to my card base, I stamped the sentiment from Your Next Stamp What Not Sentiments 11 with Versamark Onyx Black Ink. I then applied my panel to a Simon Says Stamp Fog card base which is almost always A2 sized top folding.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. (CLICK HERE!) to play along with us over at the Your Next Stamp blog.
