Hello fellow cardmakers, today is very exciting... not just because I'm playing in this week's Color Throwdown, but also because I made my very first card making video today. It's something that I've wanted to do for a long time, but never conjured up the courage to do it. Oh yeah, and Happy Valentines Day! As I mentioned in the video, I have been obsessed with rainbows lately, and as such, I have pretty much colored rainbows on every card I've made in the past few weeks, so why not this one too? I made two cards with the same layout but using different techniques for the rainbow die cut. The first using fun foam and the second using an inlaid die technique, which I showed in the video.
Today I am playing in Color Throwdown #379. This weeks colors are Pink, Purple/Mullberry, Metallic Gold, and Hot Pink. My supplies are listed below.

Hello fellow cardmakers, todays card is a Valentine's Day card, and it was made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Simon Says: Ombre. The card background was made with 110 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used a Heidi Swapp triangle stencil and an embossing pen to draw the triangles in sticky ink. I then used Ranger, Liquid Platinum embossing powder to heat emboss the triangles pattern. I then used Distress ink blending to create the ombre background effect.
I used Hero Arts, Christmas Crystals to create the heart featured on the front of the card. I stamped it twice creating the heart in VersaMark Ink on Simon Says Stamp, Black Cardstock and heat embossed it using the Ranger, Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I used the love sentiment from the same Christmas Crystals set and stamped it on Neenah Solar White in VersaFine, Onyx Black and used Hero Arts, Clear embossing powder to heat emboss it. I cut out both the heart and the sentiment and popped them up with foam adhesive on the front panel. The card base is also made of SSS Black Cardstock.
Thanks for clicking on my card and I hope you come back soon,
Hello. My name is Koren Wiskman, but many people call me Kori. My husband Tim and I run two businesses and have four kids. If this doesn’t immediately scream insanity, just keep reading…Tim and I grew up in the same waterfront town of Pasadena, Maryland. We graduated High School together in 1998, and about 15 years later we started dating. It would make an excellent love story, but we are not quite finished writing it yet. I became a Mother almost 20 years ago with my daughter Cailin. I’ve been crafting since birth but I discovered stamping when I was pregnant with my first son Hayden over 18 years ago. I fell in love and I have been card making ever since. Since then my joy for paper crafting has grown right along with my family. I now have a step-daughter Olivia who will be 13 this year. You can find me on YouTube and many of the popular social media sites. Thats where you will also meet Dexter my youngest, he is seven, and he is the perfect combination of me and Tim. See many of our family outings and shenanigans as well as plenty of crafting goodness.
