Thanks, for all you do

Hello fellow cardmakers. Today I am sharing a project I created using Altenew stamps. I have been trying my hand at no line Copic coloring and this was one of my first attempts. I stamped the flower images using Altenew's Hennah Elements stamp set on PTI Stampers Select White with Memento Desert Sand ink. I picked markers that I thought would blend well together and just tried my best. I wanted to keep the shape of the stamp by using the darker colors first around the outline of the image and blend them out with the lighter colors. I don't think it turned out too bad considering I haven't tried this technique much.

I used Hero Arts Black dye ink to stamp the "thanks" from halftone thanks. Then I used Versamark to stamp the rest of the sentiment from the same set on SSS Black cardstock and embossed it with Hero Arts White embossing powder. I popped up the second part of the sentiment with some foam tape. I adhered my card front flat onto a Stampin' Up! Sahara Sand A2 size card base. The additional elements on the card are also stamped in Hero Arts Black. A complete list of supplies are below.

Color Throwdown # 379

Hello fellow cardmakers, today is very exciting... not just because I'm playing in this week's Color Throwdown, but also because I made my very first card making video today. It's something that I've wanted to do for a long time, but never conjured up the courage to do it. Oh yeah, and Happy Valentines Day! As I mentioned in the video, I have been obsessed with rainbows lately, and as such, I have pretty much colored rainbows on every card I've made in the past few weeks, so why not this one too? I made two cards with the same layout but using different techniques for the rainbow die cut. The first using fun foam and the second using an inlaid die technique, which I showed in the video.

Today I am playing in Color Throwdown #379. This weeks colors are Pink, Purple/Mullberry, Metallic Gold, and Hot Pink. My supplies are listed below.

Constructive criticism number one, better lighting. Oh and I need to turn off my TV when filming, hahaha!!  Enjoy!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Simon Says: Ombre

Hello fellow cardmakers, todays card is a Valentine's Day card, and it was made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Simon Says: Ombre.  The card background was made with 110 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used a Heidi Swapp triangle stencil and an embossing pen to draw the triangles in sticky ink. I then used Ranger, Liquid Platinum embossing powder to heat emboss the triangles pattern. I then used Distress ink blending to create the ombre background effect.

I used Hero Arts, Christmas Crystals to create the heart featured on the front of the card. I stamped it twice creating the heart in VersaMark Ink on Simon Says Stamp, Black Cardstock and heat embossed it using the Ranger, Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I used the love sentiment from the same Christmas Crystals set and stamped it on Neenah Solar White in VersaFine, Onyx Black and used Hero Arts, Clear embossing powder to heat emboss it. I cut out both the heart and the sentiment and popped them up with foam adhesive on the front panel. The card base is also made of SSS Black Cardstock.

Thanks for clicking on my card and I hope you come back soon,

Kori

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Design Team Call

Hello fellow card makers. For 2016 I decided to start blogging again and sharing my creations with the online card making community. I am entering my projects today for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Design Team Call. It is so much fun being on a design team and interacting with all the participants. I have been involved with design teams before and I would love the opportunity to do it again.

Here is my first card, using My Favorite Things Adorable Elephants stamp set. I decorated my panel using a masking technique. I tried to make it appear as though the butterflies where flying around the elephant. I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo black ink on Neenah 110 lb. cardstock and colored him with my Copic Markers. I used a Copic multiliner to draw the trails behind the butterflies to match the stamp already given in the set. The clouds where masked and inked using versa magic Sea Breeze pigment ink. I used Versa Fine Onyx Black ink to stamp the Happy Birthday Sentiment and then heat embossed it with Wow, clear matte Dull embossing powder. I also coated the butterfly that is popped up with a glue dot with glossy accents.

My second card I am sharing today uses the same set and the same masking techniques to develop the scene on the front panel. I used Versamark ink to stamp both white sentiments and embossed them with Hero Arts White embossing powder. For both cards I used fun foam to pop up the panels on a standard A2 size card base made of Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock. A touch of wink of stella was used on the butterflies above and the balloons below.

Thanks for visiting me today and I hope you come back in the future. A list of products used on this project are listed below. The link takes you to Simon Says Stamp Online Store where I purchased most of these products.
