The first project uses the new Sunny Vibes stamp set and Inward Elements stencil to create a cute card to capture that summer energy.

I also have a fun project using the new Baby Shark Die-namics. My son loved this project so much. He had a blast creating baby shark popcorn holders so I decided to share it with you.

Colorado Craft Company August Release

Hello everyone. Today I have a video using Colorado Craft Company’s NEW August Release of their Big and Bold collection. These stamp sets feature larger images in a hand drawn style with fun sentiments to boot. These sets fit well with their other collection called Lovely Legs.

To check out the NEW Release from The Colorado Craft Company (CLICK HERE) to see their brand line up over at Simon Says Stamp.

I am doing a giveaway for this release. Six winners will be chosen from the comments section of the YouTube video that coordinates with this blog post. Leave me a comment letting me know which of the three cards featured is your favorite out of the group. I will pick randomly six winners in three days time so check back in the description box of that video for the winners to be announced. I will post them on Tuesday August 6th . The six people chosen will each receive one of the six stamp sets from Colorado Craft Company that is being released this August. I hope I have encouraged you to enter and Good luck in the giveaway.

As for the cards, most of them will be shown in the video over on YouTube. All except one. Somehow the down facing camera footage was corrupted and I couldn’t show you how that was made. Good thing it’s super simple and I can just tell you all about it here.

The Big and Bold collection from Colorado Craft Company are just that… Big. I wanted to feature the entire dress on the front of a card but in order to do that, I had to make a card slightly larger than cards I usually make.

This card measures half the size of a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. I made the Simon Says Stamp Fog card base by simply folding a sheet of it in half and scoring it with my Teflon bone Folder.

Then I cut a sheet of Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock down to  . This piece is going to be my front panel.

I quickly aligned the front panel into my original MISTI and stamped the sentiment  “you’re fabulous darling” toward the bottom center of the panel. I stamped it with Nuvo Clear Mark embossing ink and used Ranger White embossing powder to heat emboss it.  I added this panel to the Fog card base using black craft foam and tear tape adhesive.

As for the dress, I stamped it the same exact way as the sentiment was stamped above, only this time I fussy cut it out with my scissors. It doesn’t matter that the cutting edge isn’t perfect. It will end up disappearing into the background. Once I was finished cutting it out I threw it into my splat box and sprayed it with my three favorite shimmer sprays. Imagine crafts Frost and Sparkle shimmer spray as well as Hero Arts White Iridescent Shimmer spray. After all three were dry, I added some Tonic Studios Foam Squares to the back and mounted it to the card panel centered above the sentiment.

That was it, but my camera didn’t record all of it. So, sadly, it’s not in the video. But there are two more cards being made in the video that I didn’t mess up… So, here is a link to the video._

Also, I’ve listed all of the materials I’ve used to create these projects here on my blog in the following Airtable spreadsheet. Affiliate links are used when available.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today. I hope I’ve inspired you to create something with these fun NEW products from the Colorado Craft Company.  (CLICK HERE) to check out their awesome stamps or follow the links below.

Memory Box Unboxing and Project Share

Hello everyone.

I have an awesome NEW video for you today. Memory Box reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to play with a few of their products so that my followers could see some of their stuff. Of course I said yes. I have loved using Memory Box products as well as their sister companies Birch Press Designs and Poppy Stamps. I couldn't wait to get my hands on these Fish Tales stamp sets to make a card.

To find out more about what Memory Box has to offer (CLICK HERE!) but be warned!!! You will immediately fall in love.

I have a video project as well as another card that I created off camera. I still have so many ideas, be on the look out for more card projects featuring these items.

Here is a link to the video I created showing off all of the supplies that were sent to me. Some of them I picked out myself and some of them are newer products that they thought my followers would enjoy seeing. I loved everything that was sent to me and I want to personally thank them choosing me for this collaboration.

As for the second project I created, I started with four pieces of Neenah 110 lb cardstock cut to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. I usually keep these close by because it is my most used cardstock. I decided that I was going to ink blend on these panels. I wanted the blend to be as smooth as possible and I wanted them to be as alike as possible.

I choose Distress Oxide ink in Brushed Corduroy, Antique Linen, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Mermaid Lagoon. This combination is similar to the ink colors used on the project in the video above, only with this one, I used Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy, these are my favorite "sand" colors.

I made sure to ink blend all four panels as similarly as possible. To get a very smooth blend I used Ranger Ink Blending tools for this, and I love the way these look and I think it will set the perfect seascape background. They were each cut down to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4.

Once the backgrounds were well dried (only a few mins needed), I used the Underwater Collage, Seaweed Collage, and Coral Collage dies to cut from the panels. I lined them each up towards the center of one of the panels, leaving the fourth panel alone to serve as the background for the others to be built upon.

I used a Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock card base cut to size A2 in top folding orientation. I adhered the background panel first with Scotch double sided tape. I then used Scotch foam tape to pop up each additional panel stacking them and lining them up the best I could. I makes the perfect little dimensional scene for your critters to live in. The coral, seaweed, and bubbles all add to the theme of the card.

For my images, I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp several of the lined images from the Memory Box Fish Tales stamp set. I used my We R Memory Keepers Precision Press to stamp them. I used an alcohol marker friendly ink because I wanted to play with my new to me Nuvo Alcohol Markers. I chose 5, three color blends to color my fish. I have made a Nuvo Alcohol Marker Color Map so that you can see the makers I used plus a close up of the card for reference.

I adhered the fish on the interior sections using Nuvo Deluxe Liquid adhesive. To pop up the fish on the outside of the die cut panels I used the same Scotch Foam Tape.

I also used foam tape to pop up the sentiment strip. I stamped the sentiment "let minnow how things are going" with Nuvo Clear Mark embossing ink onto a piece of Lawn Fawn Black Licorice cardstock and heat embossed it using Ranger White embossing powder. I cut it down using my Fiskars wire guide paper trimmer.

To see more from Memory Box (CLICK HERE!). All of my supplies used on these projects are linked below using Affiliate links when available, at no cost to you. Thank you for supporting our crafty community.

I hope that you enjoyed my projects today. I hope you all are having a wonderful Memorial Weekend with your families. Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Color Throwdown # 379

Hello fellow cardmakers, today is very exciting... not just because I'm playing in this week's Color Throwdown, but also because I made my very first card making video today. It's something that I've wanted to do for a long time, but never conjured up the courage to do it. Oh yeah, and Happy Valentines Day! As I mentioned in the video, I have been obsessed with rainbows lately, and as such, I have pretty much colored rainbows on every card I've made in the past few weeks, so why not this one too? I made two cards with the same layout but using different techniques for the rainbow die cut. The first using fun foam and the second using an inlaid die technique, which I showed in the video.

Today I am playing in Color Throwdown #379. This weeks colors are Pink, Purple/Mullberry, Metallic Gold, and Hot Pink. My supplies are listed below.

Constructive criticism number one, better lighting. Oh and I need to turn off my TV when filming, hahaha!!  Enjoy!

Stampin' Up!- Gold Foil
Simon Says Stamp- Black
