SSS Wednesday Challenge: Gift it

Hello fellow cardmakers, today I am playing along with Simon Says Stamp on the Wednesday Challenge. This weeks Wednesday challenge theme is Gift it. Even though Christmas isn't here yet, my cards have been mailed and for the most part received by my friends and family. So, I'm moving onto some Valentines Day projects. Today I've made a small Valentines Day shaker card featuring Paper Smooches "Bees" Wise Die and Taylored Expressions "Tuck and Close Notecard" Die.  I can't wait for myself or the kids to give this cute notecard away. Here are some photos of my project and supples are listed below.

The vellum is glued to the back of the layered die cut bees. Between the top layer and second to top layer of die cut bees is a layer of plastic packaging to keep the shaker bits contained inside.

The shaker material is made up of Wilton sugar cookie topping.

Color Throwdown #422

Hello fellow cardmakers, today I am playing a color challenge with Color Throwdown #422.

I am somewhat addicted to the camouflage technique, but it's ok because I am having a blast doing it. Here are some photos of my card.

The photos don't do it justice. It is difficult to capture the uniqueness of this technique. It is so fun.

This shot is the closeup that shows all my card imperfections. Embossing powder spewed everywhere and sloppy colored pencil coloring and ink blending. BUT! It's got hella dimension!

Here is a list of my supplies, Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Crafting!

Spellbinders, flower swag 3
PTI, Counting my blessings

Dies:
PTI, blessed

Ink:
Ranger, Archival Jet Black

Thanks, for all you do

Hello fellow cardmakers. Today I am sharing a project I created using Altenew stamps. I have been trying my hand at no line Copic coloring and this was one of my first attempts. I stamped the flower images using Altenew's Hennah Elements stamp set on PTI Stampers Select White with Memento Desert Sand ink. I picked markers that I thought would blend well together and just tried my best. I wanted to keep the shape of the stamp by using the darker colors first around the outline of the image and blend them out with the lighter colors. I don't think it turned out too bad considering I haven't tried this technique much.

I used Hero Arts Black dye ink to stamp the "thanks" from halftone thanks. Then I used Versamark to stamp the rest of the sentiment from the same set on SSS Black cardstock and embossed it with Hero Arts White embossing powder. I popped up the second part of the sentiment with some foam tape. I adhered my card front flat onto a Stampin' Up! Sahara Sand A2 size card base. The additional elements on the card are also stamped in Hero Arts Black. A complete list of supplies are below.

Stamps:
Altenew- Hennah Elements
Altenew- Halftone Thanks

Hero Arts- Black
Versamark ink

The Paper Players #285 "Rain or Shine"

Hello fellow cardmakers, Today I am playing along with The Paper Players on Challenge #285 "Rain or Shine.  I created this colorful card using the stamp set "Spectrum" by Paper Smooches. I stamped the unicorn on PTI Stampers Select White cardstock using Memento Desert Sand then masked it and stamped the rainbow also using Memento Desert Sand. Then I masked the rainbow and stamped the sun using Hero Arts Butter Bar. I ink-blended Butter Bar around the sun and Hero Arts Pool around the unicorn and rainbow.

I used Copic markers in shades of warm gray to color the unicorn and used Copic Spica Atyou Glitter pens to color in the rainbow and hair. The clouds of the rainbow are colored in shades of cool gray. A bit of R20 was used to color in the unicorns ear. I stamped the coordinating clouds from the set on PTI Vellum in Brilliance Starlite Silver and clear embossed them with Hero Arts clear embossing powder. The sentiment was stamped using Versamark Onyx Black. I adhered the clouds using a glue pen just around the rim under the embossed edge. The panel was trimmed and popped up using a sheet of craft foam and placed on some patterned paper from the Fancy Pants pattern paper pack "Beloved".  The card base is standard A2 size using PTI Stampers Select White. The list of supplies is below.

Color Throwdown # 379

Hello fellow cardmakers, today is very exciting... not just because I'm playing in this week's Color Throwdown, but also because I made my very first card making video today. It's something that I've wanted to do for a long time, but never conjured up the courage to do it. Oh yeah, and Happy Valentines Day! As I mentioned in the video, I have been obsessed with rainbows lately, and as such, I have pretty much colored rainbows on every card I've made in the past few weeks, so why not this one too? I made two cards with the same layout but using different techniques for the rainbow die cut. The first using fun foam and the second using an inlaid die technique, which I showed in the video.

Today I am playing in Color Throwdown #379. This weeks colors are Pink, Purple/Mullberry, Metallic Gold, and Hot Pink. My supplies are listed below.

Constructive criticism number one, better lighting. Oh and I need to turn off my TV when filming, hahaha!!  Enjoy!

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Simon Says: Ombre

Hello fellow cardmakers, todays card is a Valentine's Day card, and it was made for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, Simon Says: Ombre.  The card background was made with 110 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used a Heidi Swapp triangle stencil and an embossing pen to draw the triangles in sticky ink. I then used Ranger, Liquid Platinum embossing powder to heat emboss the triangles pattern. I then used Distress ink blending to create the ombre background effect.

I used Hero Arts, Christmas Crystals to create the heart featured on the front of the card. I stamped it twice creating the heart in VersaMark Ink on Simon Says Stamp, Black Cardstock and heat embossed it using the Ranger, Liquid Platinum embossing powder. I used the love sentiment from the same Christmas Crystals set and stamped it on Neenah Solar White in VersaFine, Onyx Black and used Hero Arts, Clear embossing powder to heat emboss it. I cut out both the heart and the sentiment and popped them up with foam adhesive on the front panel. The card base is also made of SSS Black Cardstock.

Thanks for clicking on my card and I hope you come back soon,

Simon Says Monday Challenge: Stencil It

Hello fellow cardmakers, today I am playing along with the Simon Says Monday Challenge: Stencil It.

I created the card pictured above using the MFT Sun Ray Stencil and Distress inks. This background was created using 110 lb. Neenah Solar White cardstock. I used a masking technique to create the background and finished it up using water droplets. The background was adhered to a Stampin' Up! Basic Gray card base using foam tape.

Background before cutting it down and adding it to my card base.

I stamped the boat image using Avery Elle's Knotty stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with my Copic markers. I adhered the boat with foam tape. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages and it was stamped on Stampin' Up! Basic Gray cardstock in VersaMark Ink, and I used Hero Arts White embossing powder to heat emboss it. I then used the little flag from MFT Blueprints 1 dienamics to cut out the sentiment. I attached the flag using glossy accents.

Thats my project for this challenge, thanks for clicking on my card. I have listed many of the supplies I used below. I hope you come back soon.

Simon Says Something New

My card for the Simon Says Something New Wednesday Challenge is pictured below using the Paper Smooches Chubby Chum Pals Stamp Set and matching dies. I have created a card for my new husband (we just got married this past summer).

I stamped my two love birds on Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them using Copic markers. I die cut them using their coordinating die. My sentiment was custom made using the Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages set. I stamped it on Simon Says Stamp Black cardstock using VersaMark ink and I used Hero Arts White embossing powder to heat emboss it. The "kissie-face" was created using ColorBox chalk ink in Berrylicious and I used generation stamping to get the gradient effect.

The background was created starting with a piece of embossed paper by Stampin' Up! I used Distress ink in Picked Raspberry to bring the pink into the background. I die cut a heart into my front panel and propped it up with foam tape. The scribble heart was die cut using a Tim Holtz Alterations Scribbles and Splats Thinlits die out of EK tools woodgrain paper.

The card base is made of a top folding A2 size piece of Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock. I used the stripes from the Avery Elle Knotty Stamp Set and VersaMark ink to clear emboss the stripes on the side using Wow Clear Matte Dull embossing powder. This was accomplished only because I used the Misti Stamping tool. Without it, I would have been lost.

I have linked to as many products as possible down below.

Thanks for clicking on my card, come back soon.
